String of Pearls

String of Pearls (Senecio rowleyanus) is a unique and visually stunning succulent known for its trailing stems adorned with small, spherical leaves that resemble pearls on a string.

Here are some care tips for your String of Pearls:

☀️ Provide bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the delicate leaves. A few hours of morning or late afternoon sun can be beneficial.

💦 Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let excess water drain away. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's crucial to avoid soggy soil.

🪹 Plant in well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for succulents or cacti. Adding perlite or coarse sand can improve drainage.

🌡️ Keep the plant in a warm environment with temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C). Protect it from drafts and sudden temperature drops.

🌧️ String of Pearls prefers average indoor humidity levels. Avoid overly dry conditions, especially in heated indoor spaces during winter.

🥣 Feed sparingly with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half-strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing during the dormant period in fall and winter.

✂️ Trim leggy or unhealthy stems to encourage bushier growth. You can also propagate cuttings to grow new plants.

🪴 Plant in a shallow pot with ample drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant outgrows its container.

String of Pearls is a low-maintenance plant that adds a touch of whimsy to any indoor space. With proper care, it can thrive and produce cascades of pearl-like foliage.
